This is a project I love doing with first grade. My students love hearing about the artist, Keith Haring and looking at his colorful artwork. After an introduction, students draw their own figure in an action pose with contour lines around the figure.
The second day students use neon tempera paints to add color to the figures and the background. We talk about patterns and students draw them in the contour lines to finish the work!
I love the neon paint! He is such a fun artist.
